ABOUT US
The University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) provides educational opportunities for a diverse group of students. Among that diverse group are thousands of Black students who have graduated from the school of Arts and Science, Medical School, Law School, Engineering School, and Nursing School. These students have been indoctrinated in the UW principal - "Forward Thinking" - and have excelled in their individual careers. They have become stellar corporate executives, service professionals, and entrepreneurs.
Proud of our Badger heritage, we look forward to inspiring a new generation of UW graduates. Through the African American Alumni Association, we maintain a network of relationships. Through that network, we promote an increased enrollment of Black students.
Badgers Then and Now (BTN) is the Homecoming Reunion for Black UW alumni. Our goal is three-fold:
1. To increase the number of Black students at UW.
2. To provide scholarships to facilitate the enrollment of Black students.
3. To provide mentoring and networking opportunities between graduates
and current enrollees.
